Nancy Dickson, sister to the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, was on Monday, freed by her abductors.
The 26-year-old who is the last child of the Dicksons, was abducted on December 19, 2015 by gunmen.
She was kidnapped after the December 5, 2015 governorship election in the state and a few weeks to the January 9 supplementary poll, which Dickson won and became the re-elected governor.
After the gunmen seized her at her shop on Okaka Road in Yenagoa, the state capital, they reportedly drove off in an ash Lexus Jeep to an unknown place.
According to The Punch, a ranking official of the Bayelsa State Government confirmed the incident but said official statement would be released soon.
