Sunday-Oliseh
Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has backed the team to beat Egypt in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches this month.
Oliseh resigned from his position last month, citing unpaid salaries, lack of cooperation, among other factors as reasons for his decision to quit.
Samson Siasia has since been appointed as interim coach and will be assisted by Emmanuel Amuneke and Salisu Yusuf.
Oliseh however says the new coaching crew, can achieve victory over the Pharoahs, if they apply the philosophy he has imparted on the team.
He wrote on his personal blog: “As a Nigerian I can assure you you should not fear the Egyptians. Egypt is a good team but definitely far from the Egypt of five years ago and our new assembled team is definitely better.
“If we play with the philosophy and players I have put on the ground, we will definitely beat Egypt home and away with a larger margin in Egypt! Remember we don’t concede easily anymore.”
