Ese Oruru has been rescued and is back in Bayelsa state with her family after all the drama surrounding her case.

The alleged abductor’s father Dahiru Bala, revealed in an interview that no marriage took place between his son and Ese, as widely reported.

The 14 year old girl was allegedly abducted by Yunusa Yellow, from Bayelsa to Kano state, where she allegedly converted to Islam on her request.

The alleged abductor’s father Dahiru Bala has revealed in an interview with Vanguard, that no marriage took place between his son and Ese, as widely reported.

He said he promptly reported the matter to the village head, when his son arrived the village in Kano, with the teenager.

Mr. Bala however revealed that it was impossible for his son to marry Ese, because:

Yunusa Yelllow was already engaged to another girl in Kano state.

Any marriage between his son and Ese is illegal, and

 It is against the Islamic religion.

He also claimed that his son-Yunusa was a domestic help to the Oruru’s for 10 years.

Was there a misunderstanding while he was the family’s help and so, decided to punish them?

Did Yunusa take Ese as part of his settlement, at the expiry of his domestic service period?

These questions are yet to be answered.
