The Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday, February 21, names Adeyinka Asekun as a new non-career ambassadorial nominee, Premium Times reports.
Asekun, a banker will join the list of 46 non-career ambassadorial nominees who will be screened by the Senate.
The Senate President Bukola Saraki while addressing lawmakers today, announced the fresh addition to the list of nominee initially submitted to the Senate.
The addition of Asekun's name was conveyed in a letter sent to the Senate by Osinbajo.
A list of the batch of nominees were submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, January 12, before leaving Nigeria to the United Kingdom.
Asekun, an indigene of Ogun state is currently the chairman of Wema Bank.
He graduate from the University of Wisconsin and bagged an MBA from the California State University.
He headed retail banking sections at the United Bank for Africa and now defunct Oceanic Bank.
